Do you know that turingart is a software business? Well, most likely you know - unless you jumped to this page directly from Google.
But probably not a typical one. We really love, what we do. We like to spend a huge amount of our time with our software development systems. And we love to help our clients. Thus, our solutions come from our heart!
Stefan worked on a full time base for several companies and for much more companies as a freelance consultant and software designer.
Today, he likes Apple Computer's OS X system most - because it is a rock solid system, has a really great user interface and a fantatic foundation based on UNIX, PostScript, PowerPC etc.
The name turingart is composed of the words turing and art. turing comes from Allan Turing, a famous English mathematician, who cracked the german cryptographic engine Enigma during second world war. Computer scientist know Allan turingart, because they learn in their first year at university a very base computer: The turing machine.
Today, turingart not only develops software for Mac OS X. Since the world is more than Mac OS, we decided to write cross platform software, which performs equally well on MacOS, Mac OS X, Win32 and Linux.
Would you like us to work for you based on a contract? Just ask ! We are happy to read your briefs and create an offer.
turingart's managing director Stefan W. Pantke holds a master's degree in computer science and has more than 20 years experience with micro computers. Starting with the famous, single-board AIM 65 system equipped with a 6502, he worked with a huge number of Apple Computer and PC systems. And, well, some large scale systems from IBM, Siemens and DEC are also part of his personal history.
And, well, art is simply art: Programming an application isn't simply technology. In fact, a software developer needs to compose an application based on several parts. And he has to know, which part to place where. This creative process is surely an art.
